It was directed by Yoshinori Kitase, produced by Hironobu Sakaguchi, with a score produced by Nobuo Uematsu, and character designs by Tetsuya Nomura. We pay tribute to the Godfathers of our youth. From Materia to Limit breaks all the way to the ATB battle system, Summons character progression and Mini-games would forever change all follow-on Final Fantasy games. Final Fantasy VII follows the story of a mercenary Cloud Strife, who is hired by the eco-terrorist group to help fight the mega-corporation Shinra Electric Power Company, who attempts to drain the planet’s lifeblood as an energy source to further their profits. Cloud eventually joins forces with many others to save the planet, which is threatened by Shinra and one of the most iconic nemesis of all time, Sephiroth.
